Our dogs mean the world to us and putting trust in someone to watch our precious pooches...we do not take lightly. That is why we are so extremely happy to have found Suburban Paws. Many years ago we had found Rebecca, needless to say going away was stress free. She is one of THE kindest, warmest and most caring individuals out there. A true dog lover and just an all around wonderful human being and I am proud to call her a friend now! I did not know Rebecca before she watched our crew of 4 dogs (who are VERY much a handfull)  but from the first time she had watched our dogs I knew we had found a winner!! She sent us updates, pictures and kept us up to date on our dogs multiple times day by day throughout our entire vacation. I have NEVER had this type of personal treatment EVER before. It made our vactions that much more relaxing knowing that they were in such great care and we didn't have to worry. I would recommend Suburban Paws to anyone without hesitation, thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping our pets comfy while we were away. That I cannot thank you enough. Piece of mind knowing our pets are in the best hands possible made our vacations that much more relaxing! And let me not forget about what a WONDERFUL job Suburban Paws does grooming our beast Shadow! After a day at Suburban Paws Spa Shadow looks like a completely different dog... I actually think she enjoys being groomed and pampered. When she returns home she acts like such a puppy and wants to show off her new cut! Logan, Kizmo, Cooper and Shadow send you lots of kisses and thank you for the wonderful times they spent in your care!

We love Suburban Paws! After we adopted our second dog, our original dog had some behavior/territory issues. After a home visit/evaluation by Suburban Paws and following the suggested evaluation report consistently, we now have 2 very happy dogs. It takes hard work & follow through by owners, but Suburban Paws showed us how to work out the multi-dog management plan. We were even able to work past their food aggression issues and they now share everything peacefully (well, most of the time).The home visit feature is great. Since my dogs are large with a strong predatory drive, I do not feel comfortable allowing them into boarding situations. Due to our particular situation, the home visit option was a blessing! While away, we received pictures of the dogs on their walk and posing happy for the camera. Suburban Paws even left their "paw print"- a little note on my table about how they were on their walk and how the visit went. I felt 100% comfortable leaving my best furry friends in the care of Suburban Paws. Suburban Paws really takes caring for pets to heart. The dedication and great feedback/support is one of a kind, and I recommend their services to all of my friends. My dogs love Suburban paws, and so do we.

I have been using Suburban Paws services for over 5 years now and I have to say that I think Rebecca is one of the most caring animal lovers I have ever met. She is the only one I trust to take care of my 2 Golden Retrievers. Rebecca lets my dogs out, plays with them and sometimes just sits on the couch with them keeping them happy & content.  My Bella loves when she comes to play ball in the back yard and my Peanut just loves to kiss her and lean up against her.  I am finally able to go away on vacation since I found her, she is a real God send for both me and my 2 dogs. We have grown to be very good friends in the past years of her dog sitting, talking about all the wonderful work she does with rescue and placement. She has the best heart I know of, and anyone who ever gets to know her would certainly agree with me !! Your four legged "kids" would tell you how grateful they are to have her......if they could speak.  Thank you again Rebecca for all you do.

Ruby loves Suburban Paws, I love Suburban Paws.  Everyone loves Suburban Paws!  Our Ruby was used as a bait dog.  She was and still is afraid of everything - even almost four years later.  If a napkin breezes off the table, she runs for cover in the back of the house.  We wanted to teach her basic commands such as sit, stay and down.  When Rebecca came to meet Ruby for the first time, Ruby did something she never did before.  She showed trust to a stranger.  That's the kind of peaceful energy and love Rebecca exudes.  Within less than a half hour, Ruby was following Rebecca's gentle command to sit and receive her favorite treat - a piece of chicken!  Even after her "lesson", for the remainder of the evening, Ruby stuck by Rebecca's side and got lots of affection.  This was a huge hurdle for her. When I first Rebecca, I felt the same way - I love this woman!  She was someone you could easily talk to, confide in and trust.  I am proud to call her my friend.  She has demonstrated selflessness beyond belief and has never given up on any animal or human in need.  She has put her own needs and life on hold to do for others - especially the furry others.  Against all odds, through thick and thin, she has saved the lives of many.  Rebecca has rescued animals scheduled to die from kill shelters, providing them with the medical care, a wam home, socialization and training.  She has shown those abandoned, abused and lost souls how to trust and be loved.  She has brought them out of despair.  In doing so, she was able to find them new homes and families where they are now flourishing.  Some took longer than others, but Rebecca never gave up.  Through tears and hope, she came through for those angels.  For the one furry friend she saved from death but wasn't able to be put into a typical home, Rebecca worked tirelessly to find an alternative that would allow this pup to live a real life.  With dedication and perserverence, she raised the money to send that innocent pup to a wonderful sanctuary, where she is now running free with other pups and is not confined to a cage or sentenced to death. Rebecca is the type of person every human and furry friend needs in their life.  She's loving, genuine, sincere and truly cares.  You will not find a better person to care for your furkids.

I would highly recommend Suburban Paws!  We have utilized Suburban Paws services weekly for the last 10 months.  The owner has been very trustworthy with our dog, Riley, as well as with our house.  Riley can be nervous with new people, but that was not the case with the owner.  He absolutely loves her and this put my mind at ease.  She always provides him with tons of love and attention.  She even sends me pictures and texts to let me know how the visit went.  Suburban Paws always goes above and beyond what is expected!

Suburban Paws is a wonderful service. Our 3 y/o, 90 lb lab mix Gryff is full of energy! He gets a daily walk, routine bath and nail trim and an occasional ear cleaning and medication administration. We have never had any problems and Gryff is always so excited to see the owner when she comes! Neighbors tell me they see her walking Gryff around and he is playful and happy. Our dog is one of the family and we wouldn't trust his care to anyone else but Suburban Paws!! We give them a "5 paw rating"!

Hello. My name is Princess Shadow. I am a lucky black cat. My "Auntie" from Suburban Paws visits me when my Mommie and Daddy go away. "Auntie" plays my favorite games, hide-and-seek (I hide) and chase-the-flashlight-dot. She sits in my favorite chair and properly adores me by brushing me and giving me snacks. Then she lets me take a nap on her lap while she strokes me. I love her visits. She really knows how to worship a princess. Every day she sends a message so that my daddy doesn't worry. (when I'm in the mood, I'll pose for a photo). "Auntie" brings in the mail for Mommie and Daddy. She cleans my litter box (something that I really appreciate!). Because my "Auntie" from Suburban Paws visits me, I can stay in my house with my favorite places and things. Mommie and Daddy are happy and confident that I am receiving good care. Everybody wins!!! That is why I am a lucky black cat.

We've relied on Suburban Paws for over 2 years now. They give personalized service for our dog Brownie. They walk her, play with her, and we've even sent her for play dates at their home while they have had other dogs on premises. We can always be sure our young dog is getting plenty of exercise while in their care and she really loves them! Brownie is a relatively mild mannered and calm dog, but she goes nuts when they arrive! The prices are really great too. I'm so glad we found them when we decided to get a puppy in Spring 2008. I can't imagine a better experience for our dog. They treat our dog like she's their own, have affordable prices, flexible scheduling (even last minute!). These are the people you want to help care for your dog. No question.

Wonderful Loving Pet Care - highly recommended! -‎‎ We can't say enough great things about Suburban Paws. They have provided daily home visits, as well as regular doggy daycare, and occasional boarding to our 2 year old dog since we brought her home as a 7 week old puppy. The owners of Suburban Paws love her like she is one of their own, and take amazing care of her. They truly care about their clients and it shows in the quality of attention and care. They have literally opened their home to their clients which is so wonderful because it is a home environment -- not just a kennel full of crates or a unsupervised dog run. Communication is also top notch -- The owner makes herself available and is reachable at pretty much all times, whether its phone, text, blackberry messenger, email, IM, facebook...you get the point! She always sends pictures of what the dogs are up to, which is always sure to put a smile on your face when you are away from them. You know they are well taken care of and having fun. My dog LOVES them...literally goes nuts as soon as she sees them, or we get to their house...and she always comes home from there totally pooped from having a blast all day with all the other dogs she gets to socialize with. Honestly the best care we could ever ask for for our dog, we trust them like family!

Having four pets, three dogs and a potbelly pig, is not easy for their owner, let alone a stranger. As soon as I met with the owner of Suburban Paws, I felt comfortable with her. She listened attentively; asked pertinent questions; took notes; and played with my pets. It was very important to me to have someone I could trust. In the past I have taken my dogs to a kennel, but with the addition of Petunia, my pot belly pig, I wanted a pet sitter. Not only did she live up to all my expectations, but surpassed them!! She even called me when she discovered a leak from my fridge. When I returned home all four were happy, healthy and well cared for. When she came to return my key, they greeted her with wagging tails. Even, petunia who is quite reticent with new people allowed her to pet her. Not only would I highly recommend her, but will definitely hire her again next time I go away.

My husband and I left our 1 year old lab Apollo for the first time in the caring hands of Suburban Paws. Being that we were unsure of how well he would behave outside our home, we had her come take care of him in our home. Once we met the owner of Surburban Paws we did not have any doubts of how our baby would be taken care of. She is sweet, caring & extremely knowledgeable on the proper care of animals. ‎Highly recomended-‎‎ We are fairly new dog owners. Got our boxer about 4 years ago. After leaving him in kennels during our first couple of vacations and having him come home with his ribs showing because he wouldn't eat and kennel cough, we knew we had to find someone that would take very good care of him. Suburban Paws owner is the person for the job! She is very caring and loves her dogs. We highly recommend her when we are asked who we leave our dog with. My only problem is that I wish I could get away more often so that I can leave Charlie with her! You can totally feel at ease when your dog is with her.

Excellent care for our chow chow‎ -‎ We have been leaving our chow chow in the care of Suburban Paws‎ for a couple of years now. From the first time, we knew that he was in excellent hands. Best petsitter ever!‎ -‎ I found Suburban Paws through a friend at a time when I desperately needed someone to watch my dog for several weekends at a time. I hated bringing her to a kennel, where she cried all weekend and would come home with no barking voice. Suburban Paws is great. She gets quality care from people who really love her - not just kennel workers who are paid to feed her and let her out 3x a day. My dog loves going there and wimpers in excitement as we approach the location! THE BEST PLACE IN NEW YORK!!!!‎ -‎ Suburban Paws is by FAR the best pet sitting/service place on all of Long Island, and probably New York. I drive 40 minutes each way just so that my dog can stay with her. She is the most loving and caring pet owner I know, and gives each dog in her care attention and care every single day. When I drop off my Border Terrier, he bolts for the yard each time. Suburban Paws is also very good about communication. You can reach them via email/telephone/Facebook/IM, etc and they promptly return any inquiries that you have. My dog gets to sit with her during the evening for special "snuggle" time, and when I'm away on vacation I get pictures sent to me via email on how he's doing. BEST PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

We are new dog owners, when we rescued Lucky, we were told that he had been abused, therefore leaving him anywhere was not something I was looking forward to. It was very reassuring to know that Toby would be cared for during our vacation in a very caring environment.Toby met the owner, and her resident dogs beforehand which was a good thing for him. He was afraid initially but it made leaving him in someone else's home during our vacation a smooth transition. Although dogs cannot talk, their body language says volumes. I could tell that he was well-cared for and loved during ourabsence. Having other dog friends to play with made him happy because he lives with another dog whom he plays with daily. I highly recommend this type of dog sitting service over placing a pet in a kennel.

What can I say? I am so thrilled to have found Suburban Paws. They took care of my two dogs, Chuckie and Dallas, as good as I could have ever imagined.Previously,when I went on vacation I boarded my dogs at an animal hospital. It took them almost a week to get back to themselves. They seemed in shock. This time, they were totally happy and relaxed from the moment I picked them up. She treated them as if they were her own dogs. In fact, they were even allowed to sleep on her bed. Her love of dogs is so evident that I didn't feel the least bit worried when I was away. We have a timid rescue dog that we adopted and were afraid to leave her with a dog sitter. Whisper had made progress but is still timid and nervous with new experiences.
